THE ARTIST: |
Karen C. Rhine is a traditionally trained illustrator whose work has been published internationally. She has been freelancing since 1994, has worked for such clients as McGraw-Hill and Scott Foresman. Click here for a complete list of publishers and corporations. She is at home with subjects such as people, animals, and landscapes, but especially subjects within a historical or cultural context. When illustrating factual history, fiction, or fairy tale, adventure, mythology, or classic literature, she enjoys infusing her work with the proper emotional content and enthusiasm for children and adults alike. Karen is also on the Planning Committee of the Illinois chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). |
